Letter for NGIM Documentary “Norm Geisler: Not Qualified”

Hi Friend of Norm Geisler,

     I wanted to give you a little update on the documentary we are making about my dad’s life and ask for your help! If you didn’t get a chance to see the documentary teaser at the SES National Apologetics Conference, here is the link: https://vimeo.com/295284782. **The password has been sent to you in a private email. Please do not share it with any others as it is password protected and we are trying to keep this from getting out on the internet before the official trailer comes out in 2019! 

     NGIM in partnership with some film experts associated with Billy Graham Ministries is producing a documentary film about our my dad’s life and work, featuring interviews with notable Christian figures such as Josh McDowell, Tony Evans, Ravi Zacharias, John Ankerberg, Andy Stanley, Kerby Anderson, and many more wonderful people whom my father has influenced over the years.  

     The documentary poses the question: if God can transform Norm Geisler’s weaknesses into strengths that influenced the trajectory of Christianity, how can he transform YOUR weaknesses for His glory? 

     Moving through his life, the film will show how God transformed Norm’s weaknesses as a virtually illiterate high school student into the strengths that allowed him to author or co-author over 105 books, co-found 2 seminaries, co-found  one philosophical and one apologetic society, debate top secular scholars, and lead the body of Christ in the movement for Biblical inerrancy.  

     The interviewees share about my dad’s influence on their own work through his mentorship, example, and writings, and discuss his foundational impact to the Christian faith over the last century. My dad also shares his story, enhanced with pictures and videos from his life and career and even some defining moments in his debates!

     We began making this documentary to honor my father for a lifetime of service, but it has become much more. We plan to audio dub the documentary into different languages and at the same time work to get more of my dad’s key books translated into many of the main languages around the globe. We also plan to develop a digital library so that more people can have access to many of his articles. Our prayer is many people will be drawn to study his writings more deeply and that the body of Christ around the globe will benefit greatly from that exposure!
