David Geisler

David is willing to come and speak for your church or organization to delve deeper in teaching how to integrate apologetics into your daily witness. Besides showing the movie Norm Geisler: Not Qualified and doing a Q&A time on Friday night, David can also do a further training half-day on Saturday covering topics such as Conversations That Matter (based on the book Conversational Evangelism that he co-authored with his father, Norm Geisler). David also can teach an integrated approach of a certain kind of Evangelism, Apologetics and Discipleship called “Our Walk and Witness.” Cost includes all traveling and boarding expenses and a $500 minimum honorarium. Contact info@ngim.org to discover David’s available dates.

Dr. David Geisler is the co-author of Conversational Evangelism alongside of his late father, renowned author, speaker, debater and teacher, Dr. Norman Geisler.

David co-founded NGIM with the purpose of expanding his father’s work in many areas around the globe. NGIM now provides training in a three-dimensional integration of apologetics, evangelism, and discipleship.

David serves as President of NGIM, and adjunct professor at Southern Evangelical Seminary and Veritas International University. He also serves on the leadership panel of Intentional Discipleship Making Conferences (IDMC)founded by Rev. Edmund Chan, and is the executive producer and co-writer for NGIM’s award winning documentary about his father’s life and impact.

Conversation Evangelism offers a new model for sharing the gospel in a postmodern age. This methodology encourages Christians to look at evangelism as a process of cultivating good soil. It encourages Christians to consider themselves co-travelers on a spiritual journey with their non-believing friends.

This art of pre-evangelism puts lite apologetics to practical use in witness. Through these techniques, believers can graciously and effectively help their non-believing friends uncover the truth for themselves.

This easily applicable teaching empowers believers  to identify and remove barriers to faith – in a way that makes non-believers actually want to continue the conversation!

“I believe that every church would benefit by integrating the concepts of Conversational Pre-Evangelism into their existing evangelistic programs and strategies!”
Josh McDowell
Apologist, evangelist, author
“His training will enhance the efforts of every Christian, and certainly every student, who takes seriously the Great Commission.”
Andrew Foland
Ratio Christi Ministry Director, Indiana and Michigan Chapter
“During my twenty-six years of pastoral ministry along with a seminary career that included evangelism courses from another well-known and respected institution, I had been exposed to various evangelism strategies which promised results but lacked relevant strategies for Christians to connect with non-Christians. But Conversational Evangelism was an altogether different experience for this skeptical seminarian. As I engaged with the Conversational Evangelism book and the course material, I quickly realized how useful it was for equipping Christians to connect with non-Christians in a post-Christian world. Dr. David Geisler’s course helped me see how apologetics and evangelism work together to reach a world that desperately needs Jesus Christ" [emphasis added].
Matthew Dodd
Associate Pastor, Calvary Chapel Hillsboro, Oregon
“Our church and community will be blessed for years to come... You set the benchmark high for us…”
Tim Young
Adult Pastor, Houston’s First Baptist
"Dr. David Geisler is a wonderful speaker who helped my Ratio Christi chapter address how we ought to be having faith-based conversations. Through my time serving as vice president of our chapter I noticed the main reoccurring question for our group was, 'How we actually have these conversations?' I think that through his talk, Dr. David helped better equip my chapter to handle questions and objections to Christianity without overcomplicating it.”
Olivia Mankos
President, Ratio Christi Chapter at Liberty University
"David's emphasis on the art of asking well-crafted questions to non-believers dovetailed with my other studies concerning the value of the Socratic method for evangelism and apologetics. This art of questioning has now become the bedrock of how we train our people to be salt in light for God in challenging environments from the Pentagon to the White House. Countless lives have been challenged and changed by the method I learned from David. I can't thank him enough for his impact on my life and church" [emphasis added].
Marty Baker, Th. M,. D. Min.
Senior Pastor, Burke Community Church, Burke, VA

  • What makes old models of witnessing ineffective in today’s culture?
  • Why must evangelism start with pre-evangelism?
  • How can I ask questions, listen attentively, and understand what someone believes?
  • How can I identify the real barriers to their belief in order to build a bridge to truth?
  • How can I keep dialogues going with different personality types?
