Documentary Update: Baseball Scene

Dear Friends of NGIM,

We are elated to report a successful shoot of a crucial scene in the upcoming documentary about my dad’s life and impact, “Norm Geisler: Not Qualified”! As you know, we have been working hard the last two years and even traveling to several locations across the country to film interviews with some of the leading apologists and pastors of our day. All of our interviewees knew my dad either as a mentor, a teacher, or a colleague, and have shared their stories with us on camera of my dad’s impact on their lives and ministries.

You may or may not know this, but my dad loved baseball! He was an award-winning athlete in both baseball and track at his high school in Warren, Michigan. He kept that energy and love for the game all his life, and we used to play as a family when we were kids. He even coached my little league team!

My dad’s tenacity and competitive spirit in baseball was used by God later in his life in the many debates he had with top academics, and in his commitment to helping the church maintain its solid foundation in biblical inerrancy through the ICBI and the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy.

We wanted to show the early beginnings of this God-given tenacity through this baseball scene. So many of you in the Charlotte, NC area came out to be in the movie by filling in the bleachers! We are so appreciative of the time you spent participating in helping us bring this movie to life!

Please enjoy these behind-the-scenes pictures! If you have not yet seen the teaser for the documentary, sign up here to get a private link to view it!

Thank you again for all your support in making this very special film to honor my dad and help his legacy thrive. Please pray for funds to complete the final editing and global distribution of this movie!

His Servant,

David
